About Us

Our story dates back to 1959, when Sam Rosenberg embarked on his journey to establish a successful business before his retirement. Having encountered setbacks in earlier ventures during his adulthood, Sam eventually found significant success as a traveling salesman of general merchandise in the 1950s.

At the age of 59, Sam launched the S. Rosenberg Christmas Co. His business focused on importing Christmas and Easter novelties as well as dolls from Japan. In April 1963, Stanley Geller, Sam's son-in-law, acquired the business. Under Stanley's leadership, the company thrived, achieving substantial revenues.

Stanley's approach involved frequent travels to Japan via propeller planes for buying trips. He fostered strong relationships with Japanese factories and meticulously selected merchandise. Stanley's sales efforts took him across the United States, driving from Minneapolis to Miami, Boston to Bentonville, and from New York to New Orleans, showcasing his samples in a station wagon.

Life during those times was challenging yet rewarding, and the business flourished with the support of numerous individuals.
